Let’s Learn More About the World’s Top 10 Advertising Agencies

Can you believe we are almost at the end of January? I certainly can’t. Have you been sticking to your new year’s resolutions? Here at Human Communications, we have set our sights high: We want to be like the world’s top 10 advertising agencies.

Of course, we want to reach the lofty ideals of the world’s top 10 advertising agencies because of you, our clients.

Want to know more about the world’s top 10 advertising agencies? Let’s dive in!

At number one is Dentsu, which controls 30% of Japan’s mass media advertising. So, if size makes a company number one, and Human Communications is South Africa’s largest recruitment advertising agency, does that mean what we think it means?

Wait, wait, wait. Maybe it’s not all about size. Coming in at the number two spot on the world’s top 10 advertising agencies is BBDO, greatly admired as having won more industry awards than any other in the game. Human Communications has won every major AMARA Award given out, and has scooped 16 of them in the last 10 years alone. So if we take gongs into account when deciding a top 10, does that mean…?

Well, perhaps. Maybe we should dig deeper though. Sliding into the third place of the world’s top 10 advertising agencies is DDB. Why are they there? The agency’s principal founder is Bill Bernbach and he is considered to be the ne plus ultra when it comes to influential figures in the business. That means a fearless, influential leader, right? Enter Helen Human, the founder, director and backbone of Human Communications. Helen started Human Communications in 1987 with one desk, one telephone, one employee (herself) and a whole lot of verve, skill and ambition. From that first day in May, her unmatched drive has seen the company grow into the largest in South Africa, with the most awards.

So let’s quickly recap: The top three of the world’s top 10 advertising agencies are there because they are the biggest, most awarded and driven by an influential leader. That all sounds very familiar to us here at Human Communications. I guess we are well on our way to meeting our goals!
